Being overweight could also tell that your feet are unable to support your body weight. If you wear poorly fitted shoes, it could be a reason as well. The cold temperature of ice will lead to the numbness of the heel which is going to give you some instant relief. You can make a cold compress by putting crushed ice in a plastic bag and covering it up with a thin towel. Apply it on the area as long as you want and you will find yourself relieved. A frozen water bottle will also cause the same result.
These exercises can help reduce the pain as it strengthens the muscles. You can check out various stretching exercises on youtube. You need to feel the stretch on the bag of your leg and heel, in order for them to work best for relief of heel pain. “Standing wall stretch” would be good.
Apple Cider Vinegar Wrap
You have to pour 1½ cups of water and ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar into a pan and soak wash cloth in it. Now apply the cloth on the affected area and wrap it up around your heels using a towel. Do it for 15 minutes and repeat it 2 to 3 times.
Epsom Salt Soak
Magnesium sulfate crystals help in reduction of pain, swelling and inflammation. You need to mix 3tbs of Epsom salt in warm water and just soak your feet for about 20 minutes. Pat dry and massage some good foot cream onto it. Do it 2 to 3 times in a week and you will feel the results.
Turmeric is an age old remedy and good for treating all kinds of pain. You can add 1 teaspoon of turmeric to 1 cup of milk and simmer it on a low heat for 5 minutes. You can add some honey for taste and then drink it to get pain relief.
Fish oil contains eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids which can reduce muscle stiffness. You can take 3 grams of fish oil containing 30 percent EPA/DHA for relief.
