#1. Herb Tea

To make yourself an herbal infusion, take some 1’4 inch of ginger, ½ a lemon, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 0r 2 cloves, ½ teaspoon turmeric, a pinch of cayenne pepper and honey according to your taste. Take 3 cups of water and boil all the ingredients except honey for few minutes. Let the water reduce to half and sieve the infused tea in a cup, add honey and drink it while it’s still warm. Drink this herbal tea thrice a day to soothe runny nose.

Black peppers form a basic part of culinary across the globe. It is either used in whole or crushed form as a seasoning to many different savouries. Black pepper is antibacterial in nature and thus acts great to cure common colds and flu. To relief your nose, take some freshly grounded black pepper powder and add sesame oil to it. Mix it well and rub it around your nose. Repeat this remedy over the day to get best results.

However due to its strong taste, you can also boil 3 to 4 cloves in 3 cups water and then drink the water and eat the soaked in cloves.

Apple cider vinegar helps to fight against ailments and builds immunity. It is widely used to cure common cold and flu. Add table spoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water. Add honey to taste and drink this concoction thrice a day.

Steaming is said to be one of the best cures to fight colds and stuffy nose. Steaming opens up the nasal congestion and provides relief by lubricating the respiratory system. Boil some water in a medium size pot or vessel. Place the vessel on table and sit with towel over your sides and lean over the vessel. Inhale the hot steam as long as you can. Boil some water and add a few roughly chopped tomatoes in it. Add some salt and pepper for seasoning and drink this soup several times a day to relieve your nasal congestion.
